我一直是个笨女人,女孩心灵手巧的事都不会做。什么做饭、织衣、绣花....今天为了明天送Xmas gift,头一次自己动手wraping，以前都是买包装袋省事。这次，觉得应该自己试试，于是买了paper wrap,ribbon,笨手笨脚地包了个最简单的gift，凑合着送给一般的同事吧。

 

下午又去Body Shop买一些礼物送给重要的同事，幸好人家给包装，省得我丢人了。

 

此外，既然买礼物也给自己送了条Armani Exchange的裙子，不用包装了，呵呵！

 

 

 

刚和Ran网上碰到,下周就要到IBM上班了,真不错!离家近,走着就到。职务、工资、福利都不错。真为他高兴！所以说在中国还是澳洲因人而宜，既看个人也看机遇，他虽然在澳洲有不顺心的事情，但回中国就是好的结局。再一次心为他高兴。I am proud of him. I believe he will do great job.

 

他知道我有回国打算，一个劲劝我，本来就在等citizenship.....我更心动了。但心里也偷着乐，呵呵！IBM除了有在那工作8年的高中密友，又多了好友加入，希望到时多多帮我。哈哈！不过，找工作还是要看个人能力和机遇的，命很重要。

 

Xmas is imminent and people are warming up for it. Both company and individual are preparing for the most important holiday in westerner countries. 

 

Office is decorated, company party is everywhere. Anyway, batches of company gifts are coming in and out. Hampers, boxes of chocolates, calendars, wines…. I already sup up a glass of champagne given by some company at home. Today, it is so hard to turn blind to the Ferrero Garden Chocolate at Ronbin's desk and instantly take some of them. Remarkably such the kind of thing have been done is so understood for an absolute chocolate addict. If you are not a chocolate lover, it is also fairly reasonable to turn into uncontrollable in front of beautiful-packing Xmas chocolate. Sweet could get you sweet and excited. Anyway, what should the company do on earth at the moment? no mood to work, so should turn on the radio---strongly recommend FM104.9, my favorite radio show. :-))

 

For individual, friend-loop bash is going on, family get-together is ready.... I am no exception, attended company party, department lunch, personal bash with some classmates; a dinner with previous colleagues at Toscani's restaurant at Friday night. A lot of fun! I deserve to relax myself this month after a year that is not that easy for me. BTW, Xmas gift swap starts, yesterday I surprisedly got a gift from Diana---a photo frame. I am thinking what I should requite…..    

It is the first time to experience trouble caused by the time difference. Trying to deal with a shipment from Dublin, I really want to talk with my colleague in Ireland directly not sending email come and go. I believe speaking is the most efficient and effective communication way to solve the problem. But there is 11 hours behind, which means they begin to work while I am having dinner. Bloody hell! The issue hasn't been fixed out and we have spent lots of time on it so far, the worst thing is the direct contact is by the thirty party DHL, that means it is big time consuming and goes round and round.

I begin to lose my patient, and really want to ring up my colleague in Dublin, but if that, what I have to do is to stay office until to evening just for a call. It will be never done! Have a look at how it is going on.

目前,我周末的生活基本被DVD笼罩，每周都能看完1-2部20多集的电视剧。这里不想多提片名，但强烈推荐几部军事题材的DVD，值得一看。特别是男生，我周围的男性朋友没有不喜欢的。其中包括《士兵突击》、《垂直打击》，反映我国现代化的军队装备和作战方式，另外我还很喜欢《亮剑》，体现了毛主席时代的战争风格。这几部片子我都是看了好几遍，还白看不厌。此外，还喜欢一些反映军队大院或军队生活的连续剧，象《血色浪漫》、《大校的女儿》等等。

 

这两天一直思考一个问题，为什么当初不当兵，或者找个当兵的？太酷了！

 

 

Recently the weather is fickle, the moment is raining but the next sun is out, however which couldn't prevent us from our company EOY party. No wonder that we did have a hilarious night on Saturday at Acer Arena.  

My colleagues in dress-up were trying to be impressive acting the superstars, Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, even some of them are in king card and queen card costume. Wooooow! I have to admire their imagination and creation. I was too shame to take pictures for them just like a fan. After walking through the red carpet, we were astonished to see rows of round tables with ready starter and drinks under the caliginous lights after enter the venue Grand Ballroom. Look! Waiters and waitress were standing out there holding a tray for serving the various soft drinks. We can’t help taking glassed of wine. Then we were busy in greet each other and shooting ceaselessly as if we had not seen long time.

 

We were enjoying the dinner while sighting the shows. The host is fantastic, the band is fabulous, the dancers and singers are awesome! The music got everybody very high and some actives stepped on the stage to dance after got invitation from the host, meanwhile more and more people joined in dance hall beside the stage.

Although it has gone, something is still haunting…… cracking up the champagnes, swinging with strong music, embracing with old friends ….I reckon annual Logie Award is just like that. Only regret was we missed the draw-out prize which wouldn't be possible to touch us.

你是不是觉得俗气?哈哈,本人就喜欢这类片子,呵呵!估计今后一段时间本人要累死在DVD前了.

 

My colleague who always takes the same train with me lent me two books of TIME, then I read through on the train last week. Surprisedly, the magazine caught my eyes instantly and the parts and columns are methodically classified providing latest news, issue, character and technology, and the contents are not as political as I read in China. I really can’t put down the magazine, too tempting to resist. Now that, no hesitation I made a decision to subscribe a year TIME and filled in and posted out paid postcard with subscription requirement.

Since then I was in Australian, I have been subscribed Reader's Digest, permanently bought New ideas and Women's Day, now plus a new attraction. I can't say how much I get involved myself in this society, but those local magazines I don’t dislike let me know local even overseas news, culture, history, which at least helps me further understand the country I am in and the people I meet, contact with every single day. I truly wouldn’t mind spending time on them.

周末两天,逛了两天街，从Chatswood Chase到Bondi Junction,最后转到City,就剩Oxford Street at Paddington没去,Sydney比较不错的商店全到了。还挺累，收获不多，但也不少：

---Under skirt:Satch.这条裙子周六在Chatswood Chase看上，但没想好可搭配的top，另外价钱也有点犹豫，$259一条短裙，毕竟好久没买这么贵的。于是当时没买，但偶只要喜欢上什么，就很难忘怀。于是周日跑到City店买下。

另外本看上一条Alanna Hhill真丝dress，因为自己身才实在不如意，不是人穿衣，是衣穿人，放弃！

 

此次逛街，Iris给了很好的建议，感谢！但自己也暴露了一些转变，眼光越来越高了，档次上来了。开始觉得$100多的裙子不行了，$100多的鞋子白给了。看上Boss一条$949的裙子，还是贵！人的档次一旦上来，就很难下去，要反省一下。毕竟自己还处于起步阶段，还没度过温饱期。收敛！收敛！不过，女人要对自己好点儿，对吧？:-)
